Description
Lakeshore Landing is that perfect home for families and couples traveling together that want to create memories in one of the BEST waterfront homes on the lake. Located on family-famed Murphy Bay on Lake Pend Oreille -- there are very few homes that make vacationing together so luxurious, easy and comfortable.
Enter into a Great Room area where large, glass sliding doors reveal sweeping lake views and a series of large outdoor, tiered decks. A large, ample kitchen with granite countertops, double oven and cook's island is well appointed and, yes, the knives are sharp! A corner gas fireplace warms the sitting area and a round 8' diameter round table sits plenty, with additional seating at the bar and a gorgeous outdoor dining set outside for al fresco enjoyment.
A great vacation has that perfect balance of great play time, great food and great rest. Lakeshore Landing has FIVE bedrooms, ALL with King beds, luxury linens and ALL with a full bathroom. How wonderful for couples traveling together, families with children that need their 'own sleeping area' and thoughtfulness in providing King beds in all rooms. A downstairs family room offers a large sectional, single pull out bed and 2 additional 'aero' beds for cousins, grandkids, teens that want to all be together.
Lake Pend Oreille is simply one of the most fantastic and beautiful lakes *in the world*! However, most of accessible waterfront has steps or a slope, due to its fjord topography. Lakeshore Landing is designed to enjoy outdoor living and easy waterfront access through a series of tiered decks or 'landings'. Accessible by steps or an easy glide tram, all decks are made of Trex, with a gentle waterfall at the lower deck near the water. A covered deck off the lower level is where the brand new hot tub sits.
A huge 2 slip private dock with covered boat lift, two jet ski lifts and kayak/stand up paddle board 'launch' area really maximize lake fun and access. Rent or bring your own boat or jet skis and know they can be safely moored on lifts. Fish for rainbow trout or small mouth bass, right off the dock or just soak in the sun's warmth, glorious lake to mountain views and awe-inspiring sunsets.
Located just 2 miles down Lakeshore Drive, you're just 4 miles from downtown Sandpoint by car and an even shorter distance by boat. Schweitzer Mountain is 15 miles away (30 minute drive) and the new hot tub will be appreciated by all after a day on the slopes. Dog friendly: up to two dogs allowed, with $125 per dog pet fee & signed pet addendum. Contact manager upon reservation. Please note that exterior CCTV security cameras are in use.
**NOTE: Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet. Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks and boat lifts on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.

Great house. All the amenities were great. Great views. The lift from the dock to the top floor saved a lot of legs. We would definitely stay again.

This house is amazing! We have been coming to Sandpoint for several years. We have stayed in many wonderful homes but this is the best! Wonderful view. Wonderful deck. Wonderful accommodations. Most houses have a climb down to the water but this is the most convenient with the set of porches and the little tram. All the bathrooms have bathrooms which is great for multiple families. The kitchen is well equipped which is always a plus! I hate to leave but will be back next year!

Property was perfect for our reunion. House had plenty of room for visiting but also privacy if we wanted some quiet time. Everything we needed was right there - from 2 stocked laundry rooms, full kitchen amenities, linens, bedrooms and baths. Loved the heated floors in the baths. The views are incredible as are the outdoor decks, tram to the different levels, docks, boat and jet ski slips. Property is in a great area. This property made our trip!! Very luxurious, very clean and extremely comfortable.

Our family has had an emotional time, recently. The location was beautiful and the view spectacular and serene. It was just the perfect location to unwind and rejuvenate. Plus, it was spacious enough for everyone to have some alone time, if they wished.
